EYE CANDY ILLUSTRATION & ART FAIR

For one day only we’re taking over a section of the beautiful church of St Martin in the Bullring for a special Illustration and Art Fair. Join us on Saturday the 1st October with 30 artists, illustrators and crafters selling their wares as well as free workshop fun where you can learn something new and make something to take home with you.

What are people selling?
You’ll find a mix of clothing apparel, prints, greeting cards, gifts, stickers, badges and jewellery. Prices will start from below £5 upwards.

Is there anything for the kids to do?
We have invited the beautiful vintage caravan How Brave is the Wren and their friends Square Pegs who have a horse trailer that they’ve converted into a space for art workshops for kids.

Will there be anything else going on?
Yes we will be hosting several FREE workshops for your to take part in including:
-Make a zine with Lewis Moran – ALL DAY
-Get a Peruvian chicha style portrait by Michelle Turton – ALL DAY DROP IN 
-Ceramics for beginners with Kate Andrews – STARTS AT 10.30am ends at 3.30pm, BOOK A SPACE*
-Make Badges at the Badge-o-tron with Jenny Haytch – ALL DAY DROP IN 
-Make a stitched happy face with Sparklymouse – 12.30pm – TURN UP BUT SPACES LTD
-Make a personalised banner with Crafts Collective – 11.30am & 1.30pm – BOOK A SPACE*

How to *book: If you’d like to book a space on to any of the ‘BOOK A SPACE’ workshops just email your name and the date, time and name of the workshop you want to book to kerry [@] fusedmagazine.com.

Workshop spaces are VERY limited so booking or drop in sessions will be given on a first come first served basis.

Workshop content/times are subject to change please see eyecandyfestival.co.uk for updates and further details about each workshop. Workshops are for adults. Supervised children may join some of the workshops at the discretion of the artist. Please note that some materials and tools may not be suitable for younger children.

Via train: Bullring is directly linked to Birmingham’s main train station, Birmingham New Street/ Grand Central, with rail connections to all parts of the UK.
Moor Street station is located on the East Mall side of Bullring, next to Selfridges.Via car (to park at Bullring Shopping Centre): Sat Nav Instructions: Enter the postcode B5 4BU or B5 4BP or street name “Park Street” for Centre Car Park and Moor St car park, or enter B5 4RQ or “Edgbaston Street” for the Edgbaston Street Car Park next to Debenhams.

Cheaper parking is available around Digbeth for around £1per hour / £2.50-3 all day.

Why the church?

St Martin is a stunning church right in the heart of Birmingham. It has excellent transport links, is easy to spot plus it is in the centre of Birmingham’s shopping area and directly opposite the Bullring Shopping Centre. We’d like to give our artist’s the best opportunity to showcase and sell their work and this is as central as we could get.
