HABITATS ‘TROPICAL’ THEMED PLAYLIST

HABITATS ‘TROPICAL’ THEMED PLAYLIST

Having built a loyal fan base in London since their first EP, the self-proclaimed tropical indie/alternative quartet Habitats have crafted a reputation for energetic live performances, which can finish with band members balancing on jubilant fans’ shoulders and stage invasions.

Armed with tropical beats and a slender groove, their sound (and stage presence) is flirtatious and comic, which has an endearing charm to it. They relish the idea of not having a specific frontman, and with four separate personalities they all have the ability to bring their own characteristics to the band.

Here they choose a ‘Tropical’ theme’ playlist for Fused.

Habitats – Jungles
Tropical Vibes in Basingstoke

Wham! – Club Tropicana

Would you care to try a screaming orgasm Ma’am …?

Whitney – No Woman

Found this the other day, can’t get any more natural sounding than this. Beautiful!

Stevie Wonder vs The Clash – Uptight (Dunproofin’ Rock The Casbah Mashup)

This remix is dope, we love bongos baby yehhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!

Songhoy Blues – Soubour

We played with Songhoy Blues once, amazing band from Timbuktu, Mali, it was the day they signed TWO record deals…. as you can imagine they were so stoked, they put on one of the best shows I’ve ever seen.

Leisure – Got It Bad
This tune just has such a chilled vibe.

Junip – To The Grain (Live Session)
This is a live session of jose gonzalez’s band Junip, personally I think this live session is better than the original track, beautiful earthy vibe.

The Clash – Straight To Hell
Has that Afro beat/Reggae vibe that not many other bands (even today) could pull off with such ease.

Friendly Fires – Jump In The Pool
They have whistles ok!

Duran Duran – Rio
One funky bass line, a Saxaphone solo and a boat ahahaa jog on, this is the dogs short and curlys!

The Beach Boys – Kokomo
