SOL BEACH HOUSE IBIZA DETOX

IBIZA SOL BEACH HOUSE DETOX

It may be a mecca for hen and stag dos, melting bodies in attire that would make Jeff Koons blush, and party scenes that would put Patsy Stone to shame, but Ibiza has a more relaxing side too. Now, after partying hard you can head to the newly renovated Sol Beach House Ibiza, on the East Coast destination of Santa Eulalia bay, for a detox.

Model and stylist Roxie Nafous is launching a tailor-made wellness programme hosted on site which includes yoga, juice detoxing, massages, and relaxing treatments, (as well as island activities and a classic Ibizan beach club experience if that takes your fancy). If it helps get Roxie’s reed-like body it can only be a good thing, but the ocean tides of Ibiza roll in at 60% proof, so I doubt it will happen for me. However, it is a great way to boost your immune system and expunge a few sins from the night before.

Here, Roxie shares her top 5 packing tips for an Ibizan island getaway that combines the sand, sea, sangria and quite a few sun-salutations…

Get Sun Ready! You’re heading to sunny Ibiza where you can spend your days lazing around the pool and soaking up the glorious sunshine! Make sure you bring a good quality sun cream – I like to buy one for the face with a higher SPF and another for the body. Also, don’t forget to bring your favourite bikinis and swimsuits, you’re going to be wanting to show off your sun-kissed skin and leaner body after your detox and cleanse!

Be comfortable… When you’re on a cleanse, you want to feel comfortable lounging around, reading books on your bed or taking a nap when you’re a little tired. Bring lots of comfortable clothes so you can get nice and cosy with a cup of herbal tea, pure bliss!

Be a yoga bunny and bring some sportswear for your yoga classes during your stay. I love wearing pieces with bright colours to keep me motivated! Also, you might feel like taking some nice walks (a great, light exercise which I also find so therapeutic) so bring some comfortable and supportive trainers! I would also advise bringing a large water bottle with a filtered top so you can top it up and keep hydrated all day long.

Read books, stay cool! I love nothing more than reading on holiday, so I always spend some time browsing a book store before going away. I love fiction because it’s so relaxing and distracts you from your everyday thoughts – I see it like an active meditation! I also love the odd self-help book and I find them especially useful during a detox when you’re already in a mindset of self-improvement and positive change.

Keep it Glam (with a capital ‘G’)! When the cleanse is finished and your skin is bright and you’re feeling amazing, make sure you’ve got yourself a gorgeous outfit to show off in! And don’t forget to take a selfie like me!
