PUFFA: THE NEW EXPLORERS

Forget what you think you know about Puffa. It might be a word that strikes fear into fashionistas; conjuring head-to-toe, snow-covered, i’d-only-wear-it-if-it-was-freezing-cold Michelin Man style coats, but those days are well behind the British brand. For the first time since the brand started in 1973 they have sprung in to action with their first ever S/S range.

Taking on Spring and Summer for the first time Puffa have swapped the chill of Autumn and the freezing temperatures of Winter to take on the drizzle of the great British summertime.

‘The New Explorers’ collection is heavily inspired by the brand’s heritage in the air, on land and at sea. They’ve partnered with The New Explorers – a group of pioneering designers whose work is similarly inspired by these themes.

There’s a mix of women’s opaque zip-up macs that are ideal for the festival season (pictured above). Packed with features (a double drawcord at the hood opening, tied leather zip-pullers, oversized eyelets under the arms and signature Puffa embroidered ID on the left pocket) the macs come in Navy, Pink and Yellow ensuring you stand out from the crowd.

The Rosberg (her) and Walter (him, pictured above) is a micro rubber bonded fisherman style jacket that is a weather-resistant. With double pockets, exposed white rubberised snapper, hole vents, contrasting inner lining and drawcord neck detail around the hood opening, this is a highly detailed, yet functional piece.

The Piquet is an over-the-head pac-a-mac Poncho, printed with the iconic Puffa logo. It features a funnel neck, concealed hood and a large front chest pocket into which the jacket can be compacted, making it a staple-piece for cyclist, festival goer or intrepid traveler.
