THE ARCH LONDON

THE ARCH LONDON

Opened in 2010, The Arch London is fast making a name for itself as an exclusive hangout for the rich, famous and Fused!  Situated in a peaceful corner of the Marylebone district, the hotel neighbours Bond Street and Hyde Park, as well as Knightsbridge and the Edgware Road. And it spans seven Grade II listed townhouses and two mews homes. The interior of the foyer is glamorous with studded leather, statement artwork, marble and glass. A specially commissioned video painting of iconic London scenes is digitally projected too. Georgian architecture creates kooky spaces that are sprinkled with hidden staircases and adorned with bespoke artworks by emerging British artists.

While staying at the hotel last month, we enquired as to why there wasn’t a forth floor. A waiter at the Hunter486 restaurant told us: “The floors are numbered 1, 2, 3, and 5 as the number 4 is considered unlucky in Asian cultures.” A handpicked selection of classic novels can be found in all suites along with classic films, while all rooms have a full Sky HD TV package, iPod docking station and internet radio with over 19,000 channels for international guests. The bathrooms are all equipped with bidets and feature modern flourishes such as heated anti-steam mirrors and flatscreen TVs built into the wall above every bath. Prices start from £205 for a standard room.
