SINGAPORE ART WEEK

SINGAPORE ART WEEK

Singapore Art Week (SAW) takes over the city again for nine exciting days of home-grown, regional and international art! In its seventh edition this year, SAW 2019 will run from 19 to 27 January 2019 in venues across Singapore, from galleries and museums to art precincts and non-profit spaces.

Reaching out to both Singapore residents and international visitors to promote art appreciation, Singapore Art Week offers a myriad of quality art experiences, which span the visual arts, from traditional to modern to contemporary practices. Audiences can look forward to art fairs, gallery openings, exhibitions, lifestyle events, public art walks, and enriching discussions on art and culture.

Highlights for SAW 2019 include:

  • S.E.A. Focus – A new boutique art fair initiative by STPI – Creative Workshop & Gallery that will spotlight approximately 25 international and local galleries centred on Southeast Asian modern and contemporary art.
  • Art After Dark x Singapore Art Week 2019– Singapore’s very own visual arts cluster, Gillman Barracks, will hold its flagship night time open house event, featuring an evening of stimulating contemporary art, live music, and F&B pop-ups alongside an exciting line up of new exhibitions.
  • Light to Night Festival – The annual urban art event in the stunning Civic District of Singapore returns again to make art accessible and bring a range of creative and artistic expressions to a wide audience across the indoor and outdoor areas of National Gallery Singapore, The Arts House, Asian Civilisations Museum, the Esplanade, Victoria Theatre and Victoria Concert Hall.
