Looking for a stylish boutique hotel in the heart of the Las Vegas Strip? We stayed at The Vanderpump Hotel to find out whether Lisa Vanderpump’s glamorous new resort is worth booking. Here’s everything you need to know before you reserve a room.
Las Vegas has never been short of personality, but few hotels arrive with quite as much theatrical flair as The Vanderpump Hotel. Created by restaurateur, television personality and hospitality entrepreneur Lisa Vanderpump, the former Cromwell has been reimagined into a boutique-style retreat that swaps oversized spectacle for playful luxury and carefully curated design.
Positioned in the heart of the Strip, The Vanderpump Hotel offers something refreshingly different. It feels intimate by Las Vegas standards, with just enough glamour, whimsy, and sophistication to set it apart from the mega resorts surrounding it.
A Room That Feels More Boutique Than Casino
From the moment you step inside, it’s clear that Lisa Vanderpump’s signature aesthetic runs through every detail. The guestrooms are wrapped in a palette of soft blush pinks and rich emerald greens, creating a space that feels elegant without becoming overly feminine. Plush velvet furnishings, Art Deco-inspired detailing, and metallic accents give the rooms a timeless glamour that sits somewhere between old Hollywood and contemporary boutique luxury.
The bed deserves special mention. Raised high from the floor (if you’re short, you might need a short running jump to make the height) with a wonderfully deep, cloud-like mattress, it’s exactly the sort of bed you look forward to returning to after an exhausting day exploring the Strip.
Lighting has clearly been given as much attention as the furniture itself. Elegant chandeliers provide a soft glow overhead, while beautifully designed table lamps create warm pools of light that make the room feel welcoming during the evening.
Unlike many Las Vegas hotel rooms, there’s also plenty of space to relax beyond the bed. A comfortable sofa and stylish armchairs create a genuine living area, making it easy to unwind with a coffee from the in-room machine before heading out for another day in the city.
Lisa Vanderpump’s Signature Style Continues Downstairs
The hotel’s personality extends seamlessly into the casino and public spaces. Rather than bright lights and sensory overload, the casino embraces a moodier atmosphere. Rich, deep colours, low lighting and enormous statement chandeliers create an intimate environment that feels noticeably more refined than many neighbouring casinos.
Fans of Lisa Vanderpump will also spot playful nods to one of her greatest loves throughout the property, with charming portraits and decorative references to her beloved Pomeranian dogs adding moments of personality without ever feeling gimmicky.
Small Touches That Make A Difference
One of the nicest surprises at the hotel is the daily social hour between 4pm and 5pm, offering guests a relaxed opportunity to gather before the evening begins. It’s a thoughtful addition that reinforces the boutique feel rather than simply functioning as another casino resort. It’s a great way to meet fellow guests and get some tips about where’s good to go on the strip.
Up on the 11th floor, the pool provides a welcome escape from the constant energy of the Strip. Elevated above the crowds below, it’s an ideal place to spend a few quiet hours before heading back into the city’s nightlife. Open until 5pm, you’ll even get a great glimpse of the dancing Bellagio fountains across the busy road that come to life every day.
A Brilliant Mid-Strip Location
Location is one of the hotel’s greatest strengths. Positioned in the middle of the Las Vegas Strip, you’re within easy walking distance of the LINQ Promenade, countless bars, restaurants and attractions, making it an excellent base for exploring on foot.
Whether you’re heading towards Caesars Palace, Bellagio or the High Roller observation wheel, much of the city’s entertainment is just minutes away. If you want to go a little further, the Las Vegas Monorail service is easy to jump on, or the famous Deuce bus runs up and down to Fremont Street regularly.
Where to eat? Dinner At Giada
One of the highlights of our stay was dinner at Giada, celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis’ elegant Italian restaurant overlooking the Strip. The menu combines classic Italian cooking with Californian influences, producing dishes that feel both refined and comforting.
For our personal tips we tried the branzino which was beautifully cooked, with crisp skin and delicate, flaky flesh that allowed the quality of the fish to shine. The New York Strip steak was equally impressive, perfectly cooked and full of flavour. One of the unexpected stars of the meal, however, was a side of sweet corn with a gentle spicy kick. Simple on paper, it was one of those dishes everyone keeps returning to for “just one more bite”.
Dessert finished the evening perfectly. The tiramisu delivered everything you’d hope for, balancing rich mascarpone with delicate coffee flavours in a beautifully executed version of the Italian classic. Service is as impressive as the food; you won’t even have to look at the menu to get some of the best advice on what to choose.
The Verdict
The Vanderpump Hotel succeeds because it doesn’t try to compete with the largest resorts in Las Vegas. Instead, it focuses on creating a more intimate experience built around thoughtful design, comfortable rooms and genuine personality.
Fans of Lisa Vanderpump will naturally appreciate the playful details woven throughout the property, but you certainly don’t need to know her television career to enjoy what has been created here. The hotel stands confidently on its own merits as one of the Strip’s most distinctive boutique stays.
For travellers looking for a stylish base in the centre of Las Vegas, The Vanderpump Hotel offers an appealing alternative to the city’s larger casino resorts. Between its beautifully designed rooms, excellent location, welcoming social hour and memorable dining at Giada, it delivers a stay that’s every bit as glamorous as its name suggests.
