VESPA’S LATEST STYLISH OFFERING LANDS AS PART OF ITS LUNAR COLLECTION

Vespa’s latest stylish offering lands as part of its Lunar Collection, a series that takes cues from the Chinese zodiac and filters them through design rather than spectacle. This year, it is the turn of the horse. Regal, energetic and quietly powerful, the symbol feels like a natural match for the Vespa 946. The result is the Vespa 946 Horse, a limited edition that keeps things refined and relaxed rather than loud.

The bay colour sets the tone straight away, a deep brown inspired by the glossy coat of a horse. It feels rich without being heavy, grounding the steel body and giving the scooter a confident, sculptural presence. Matte and gloss finishes sit side-by-side, catching the light in different ways as you move around it.

Look closer and the details start to surface. Beneath the saddle, a horseshoe frames the V monogram, stamped neatly at its centre. It is subtle and intentional, a nod to equestrian symbolism that never tips into novelty. This is a scooter that prefers understatement.

Leather does much of the talking. The saddle takes inspiration from traditional equestrian tack and is handcrafted by Italian artisans, with the same premium leather carried through to the handlebars and rear-view mirrors. These touches soften the overall look and add warmth, making the Vespa 946 Horse feel as tactile as it is elegant.

The accessories follow the same thinking. The rear bag, made in Italy from the same leather as the saddle, feels like part of the design rather than an afterthought. The windshield, supported by aluminium brackets, adds structure without fuss. Even the jet helmet fits seamlessly into the story, finished with a three-dimensional gold V on the back that gives it a quietly confident edge.

Alongside the scooter comes IN SELLA, the third drop of the AL VENTO collection. This fashion capsule explores Vespa style off the road, introducing a new Royal crest inspired by the brand’s archive. The mirrored horse and dachshund motif appears across the collection, including a wool varsity jacket finished with gold embroidery.

Navy blue anchors the palette, keeping everything clean and timeless. Knitwear features the V monogram and details inspired by traditional saddlery stitching, while sweatshirts and T-shirts offer a more relaxed take. A poplin shirt adds a playful note, featuring a graphic of a man in a Vespa helmet sharing an espresso with a horse.

The Vespa lifestyle offering is completed by the Vespa Royal blanket, crafted from soft wool with a jacquard logo, red accents and fringed edges. It is a small detail, but one that reinforces the idea that Vespa is as much about how you live as how you move.

Pre-orders for the Vespa 946 Horse are now open via vespa.com and at the VESPA THE EMPTY SPACE store in Milan, where the model can also be viewed exclusively. The In Sella fashion drop has just launched, online and in-store, alongside an early look at the Horse helmet, available in limited quantities.
