PAVANE: MINIMALISM AND SHARP TAILORING

Designing pieces with a signature of minimalism and sharpe tailoring combined with a modernist edge, duo, Fiona Ranson (pattern cutter) and Georgina Edmonds (textile designer), share a common passion for fine craftsmanship and during their time at previous designers such as Marc Jacobs, Hussein Chalayan, Cerruti, Roksanda Ilincic and many others over the years they have sustained an integrity that garments should be luxurious and full of detail and this is prime to the Pavane label.

With luxury and opulence being the labels’ main characteristics, fabrics are sourced from mills in Japan, Italy and the UK to ensure quality and durability. In previous collections the designers have played with dying and variations on prints and colour palettes formulating garments that give a women originality and a sense of beauty and wealth.

Often inspired by exotic illusions such as the SS14 collection being inspired by an exotic sculpture garden that has been overtaken by the surrounding wild. This gave the garments depth, mystery and intrigue.  The simplistic designs portray a contemporary image – drapes and geometric shapes that fall around the body to give definition to the Pavane women’s figure.

The pieces are for a woman that is confident, beautiful and enjoys taking risks to create a chic look for herself. Collection goes on sale March 2014.
